When I first started out the the age of 20 as a trainee estate agent back in 1996, we would measure all properties with a good old fashioned tape and to think now we use digital lasers , a change for the better I may add as they are more accurate and quicker to use. As for the property details/ brochures it was a black and white printed leaflet with a stick on colour photograph if you were lucky ,there were no large internet search engines ,no personal
email addresses and not everyone had a mobile phone! Estate agency was a lot more face to face back then, more people came into the office to collect details and to arrange viewings
Howver, no matter what, you really do need to employ a good quality estate agent to sell your home . And a good estate agent must have a good experienced team in the office to ensure that all property is actively promoted and pushed to all potential buyers, to the largest audience, to achieve a sale at the best price possible. It really is key.
