Did you know… Norwich’s least known conservation area covers 163 acres on the north-west of Norwich – Mile Cross!
Mile Cross was designed as a garden suburb and was one of the first housing estates, built in Norwich during the 1920s as part of the ‘homes
fit for heroes’ programme. The layout of the estate was designed by Professor SD Adshead, who was appointed by the City Corporation in 1919. The latest development in the area is a fantastic new school, very much fit for the 21st Century.
