THE Diamond Jubilee bank holiday weekend saw over 100 potential buyers visit the long-awaited release of 13 new houses on the former Lisles garage site at Mardley Hill, Oaklands in Welwyn Garden City.
The developer is Matthew Homes, based in Potters Bar, and the homes are being marketed by Putterills’ specialist New Homes department.
Four homes were reserved to buyers on the first weekend and several more are likely to be agreed by the end of the month.
Putterills’ Sales Manager Kay Sheppard, said: “We were absolutely delighted by the response – we literally had people queuing at the door when we arrived on the first day. We haven’t had a site launch as busy as this for a very long time!”
Mark Shearing, Director at Putterills, added: “This is yet another clear indication that the local property market is active and remains resilient to some of the wider pressures in the economy.
“Hertfordshire is a great place to live with excellent transport links yet surrounded by open countryside. Our market here remains strong and we are actively looking for more homes to sell to a record number of waiting buyers. If you are thinking of selling, now really is a good time.”
Mardley Rise comprises just 13 traditional two-storey semi-detached houses, with prices starting at £350,000. The Sales Office is open daily (except Wednesday) from 10am to 5pm. Contact 01438 816028.
