With spring well under way and glimpses of the good weather ahead, it would appear that a great many suppressed ‘would be’ sellers are beginning at last to push forward with their plans for a move. The previous lack of available properties therefore is beginning to move in a positive direction and we have certainly seen a vast increase of properties coming to the open market in recent weeks – which of course is great news for the buyers! With the general election now behind us and the new governments promise to abolish Home information packs, maybe the ministers responsible should have perhaps pointed out that the process to eliminate these largely unpopular pieces of legislation could take some months to implement. I am sure that the coalition have far more pressing matters to address and with that in mind it is fair to say that if any sellers out there are holding off their move for the sake of £250 or so, then it is likely that they will miss the active market place for the year altogether.
