Much has been written about the housing market in Spain and of course The Costa del Sol. With an office in the heart of the Costa del Sol, Raine International has up to date information about the local area and market conditions.
Paul Raine who runs the office reported, “Prices much depend on where the properties are, the market has been similar to how it has been in England. Values in some areas have fallen by as much as 30% since the market peaked two years ago but the best villas and apartments in the best areas have maintained their price. There are some good bargains around, properties generally are priced at levels not imaginable a year ago and it certainly appears that the market has touched the bottom. There are now a reasonable number of sales, which were absent a few months ago. The real bargains are getting snapped up quickly but buyers need good market knowledge of comparable sales before committing themselves. An experienced agent will have all his paperwork in order with respect to the property and good negotiating skills. Its an excellent time to purchase here”.
