Not without it’s encouraging signs with the return of more confident buyers, but a lot of would-be movers are finding their search very difficult because of the dearth of choices.
In 2010 we are anticipating more competitive mortgage terms being offered as Building Societies and Banks once again start to compete for business. With more funds being made available at rates not dissimilar to those already being enjoyed by the vast majority of current home owners, we believe the market will begin to flow more freely. The effect of things becoming slightly easier will mean that even more buyers and properties should come onto the scene be it people moving up-market, down-market or buying for the first time so hopefully that elusive ‘ideal home’ is not far away.
I am sure we all look forward to a period of stability, when plans can be made that are not thwarted by another wave of grim news, and look optimistically towards the New Year.
