Take a long hard look at your plans and ask yourselves will your project either improve your lifestyle quality or add value to your property? If you are not planning to move in the near future and you feel your project will enhance how you live, that’s great, we all need to feel happy at home. However, if you are scheduling a house move in the near future then consider the house as a whole, will your project make your property more marketable, will it appeal to the widest target market will it have the style and quality to give it the WOW factor?
Your home is your nest egg, it is the largest financial commitment that most of us have and we have, to a certain extent the power to nurture that investment. I am of course mindful that if the market drops as it does in a recession so does the value of property. But there are price brackets and a well presented property will still feature at the top of its margin, gain more viewings, and probably sell faster.
