Another common conversation these days from landlords is “Why hasn’t my property let, I used to have no trouble letting it myself.” That’s true, in the good old days there were more tenants than properties and anybody could let anything at more less what they asked for it. But how things have changed! It’s now more important than ever to take good advice from a qualified professional letting agent. They will be able to advise you on pitching at the right price & presentation. It’s usually the same two chestnuts that stop people from taking a property, rental price or condition of property. Tenants expect properties to be clean, everything working and in better than average condition. If you have tired and dated kitchens, grotty bathrooms or shabby carpets, the chances are you will only let it eventually to a shabby tenant. In our experience, tenants will still pay good rents for well maintained properties and look after them.
