The fourth quarter of 2009 has seen growing confidence in the housing market. We are selling more properties than at the same point last year and each month sees more people selling and buying.
The last minute activity from first time buyers before the stamp duty threshold returns to £125,000 on the 1st January 2010 has created a real buzz in the market place. The more sold boards we erect, the more new properties come to the market, and with new applicant registrations at their highest point for the year we’re ending on a real high.
Many people who were considering a move in the New Year have taken the bold decision to market their properties before Christmas and have reaped the benefits. This in turn has created more prospective buyers and resulted in a large increase in the number of offers received.
Geoffrey Matthew Estates would like to take the opportunity to thank all of our clients for their custom in 2009 and wish them all the best in their new homes. With the festive period fast approaching we’d like to wish all The Comet readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
